Constant effectiveness of the processes and total quality control are guaranteed in INSA OIL EOOD due to the construction of oil testing complex with a separated laboratory for testing of all kinds of petroleum products. All tests of mineral-based oil and fuel products are made on the basis of new and modern testing methods that comply with the harmonized European and international standards in the field of petrochemical industry.
Testing is being conducted with precise equipment delivered by internationally recognized manufacturers of laboratory equipment.

The complex testing laboratory of INSA OIL EOOD is equipped with modern appliances for determining the quality characteristics of liquid petroleum products in accordance with the requirements of Bulgarian and international standards /BDS, ASTM, ISO, EN etc./. Testing is made with precise appliances supplied by internationally recognized laboratory appliances producers such as Меrck, Metrohm, Herzog, Thermo Electron, Oxford Instruments, PetroSpec, Ika Werke, Julabo, Anton Paar, Labovisco etc. The analytical apparatuses used for fuels quality estimation are based on modern methods such as infrared and ultraviolet spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction and UV fluorescence analysis, automatic chromatographic and calorimetric machineries which work by using computer control on devices.

Talented, well-educated and highly professional team of specialists with the necessary qualification and many years of experience, maintains the precision equipment under strict and dynamic control. The production cycle is fully covered - incoming quality control of incoming raw materials, operational technological control for the operation of the installations and final control of the refinery's products. Innovative developments - alternative recipes and new products are an integral part of refinery`s work. The guarantee for its precise work is the obtained high result from interlaboratory tests conducted with other oil testing laboratories.
The testing laboratory has introduced a quality management system according to the standard BDS EN ISO / IEC 17025 and is accredited by the Executive Agency "Bulgarian Accreditation Service"
It has been accredited by the Executive Agency “Bulgarian Accreditation Service” since 2005 with subsequent re-accreditation in 2008 and expansion of the range of products in 2010, 2017. and 2020
During the period the laboratory was renovated with a larger volume and with new analytical equipment - gas chromatographic systems, infrared spectrometers, UV/VIS - spectrometers, automatic apparatus for distillation characteristics and low temperature indicators etc., an adequate response to the company's expansion with new production facilities, as well as testing of new products.
The business program of INSA OIL EOOD annually includes funds for renovation and delivery of modern equipment.
During the accreditation period the laboratory was renovated with a larger volume and with new analytical equipment - gas chromatographic systems, infrared spectrometers, UV/VIS - spectrometers, automatic apparatus for distillation characteristics and low temperature indicators etc., adequate response to the expansion of the company with new production facilities as well as testing of new products. The investments made for the laboratory in 2020 exceed BGN 400,000. INSA OIL EOOD business program annually includes funds for renovation and delivery of modern equipment so that the complex testing laboratory can work precisely and so that it develops as an important and strategic point in company`s structure.

Insa Oil EOOD meets all Bulgarian and international environmental standards. In its activity the company has implemented an integrated management system according to the three international management standards - ISO 9001 - quality management; - ISO 14001- environmental management and - ISO 45001 - occupational health and safety management. The systems are certified by the international certification organization TUV NORD.
